Bit disappointing as by the time I got to bed late the duvet and pillow covers were missing and the room was right by a noisy air con unit which kept me up. And the doom bar real ale was a tad past it's best.Lovely location though and the dinner was not too bad.
Very nice day out .. bridge is magnificent
Lovely place to go with my boyfriend. Relaxing, friendly environment with great view
From the free large carpark you can explore this once sand stone quarry were foot paths criss cross this area. Plans of the site are on information boards for you to follow as well as route signs, the old windmill that ground the stone to powder is still there in-situ near to the Humber foreshore ( but not open to public) Dogs love this place nature as reclaimed it , trees of all kinds have taken over and a few ponds have been formed, birds and small animals live here now the stone industry as gone but you can still see the stone sides were it was mined. Because its a old quarry you will have to descend and ascend to get back out but kids seem to love this area, picnic tables are jotted about as well as other seating, areas to kick a ball around, in season wild flowers abound . Toilet facilities at the car park and in season a ice cream van.
Worth a visit......... might be better in the summer though.
