Shocked! We went there for a Sunday for lunch expecting it to be better than a Toby (which I wont go to)! Where do I start.... pork beef and chicken dinners ordered. Beef was 2 slices of very thin fatty meat well done in some parts and rare in others pork was slightly undercooked and really really fatty and the chicken was dry! Came with a carrot and very salty red cabbage on a cold plate. We had side orders of packet mix cauliflower cheese and deep fried potatoes no new, mashed or boiled! The yourshire pudding was cold and hard and we had to ask for cutlery..... then theres the gravy it was just the fat from the meat! Translucent and orange luckily for us we didnt have to pay the bill absolutely dreadful!

Great pub with great food and ale. Unfortunately they forgot to tell us that their continental breakfast was not served until 8.30am. We had to leave for an appointment at that time so didn't get a breakfast. I did receive an apology when I called them later but feel if that's their rule they should at least make it known to residents ESPECIALLY when paid in advance as I did.

Highly recommended. Food excellent. Service very good

Pleasant atmosphere, nice staff, warm and cosy inside. Food reasonable quality but overpriced. Desserts tiny and we all laughed when one of our party had ordered black forest gateau which was just a slice of cake which you could eat in two mouthfuls...for 7.50 !

Had a delicious meal there celebrating our grandsons 18th birthday. There were 12 of us. The service was really attentive and the food first class. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Some had starters and we all had deserts. The staff made a special birthday desert with candles to blow out. It was really lovely.
